It’s so simple! I’ve got to stop hanging out with “fat” people and start hanging out with “rich” people. That’s according to Seth Godin, you’ve got to associate with people who are successful and you want to emulate. Do you do this? Do you actively go out there to associate with people who are “hip and cool”, just so it might rub off on you? I have to say my heroes are not rich famous people, so maybe that’s where I’m going wrong!
…right, I’m off to dump all my “fat poor” friends and find some “thin rich” people!!

You know what? There is a lot of truth in that. That’s why I’ve joined a BNI networking group. Once a week, I get to get up infeasibly early in the morning and have breakfast with a bunch of successful business people. It is really good for me. Every week it forces me to think about my business and how I sell it to others. I hope this will take care of the “rich” part.
Now all I need to do is find a bunch of friends who enjoy running up mountains, so I can get thin too!

I know what Seth is trying to say and I’ve learnt a lot from people within SBSC and Microsoft. Maybe what really sets successful people apart is that they actively chose to follow Seth’s approach in a systematic manner?
